簡佑陶 CHIEN YU-TAO

Director of photography

1974年出生於台灣台北縣金瓜石。
1997年台灣政治大學廣告學系畢業。
1999-2000年參與台灣輔導金電影「命帶追逐」(導演蕭雅全，2001年坎城影展導演

雙週，2001年台北電影節最佳影片及多個國際影展獎項) 拍攝，擔任助導、場記、

助理剪接。
2000-2003年任職於台北光與影製作有限公司，擔任製片助理、執行製片、

製片及副導演職務。執行個案曾獲時報廣告獎，4A廣告獎等獎項。
2003-2004年於台北光與影製作有限公司擔任攝影師，拍攝電視廣告、

音樂錄影帶及短片。作品雷光夏 Sound Film入圍2004金曲獎最佳音樂錄影帶。
2005-至今 Free Lancer 攝影師，從事廣告、短片、劇情長片、影集等拍攝工作。
2024 入選金馬海外工作坊，赴洛杉磯參加美國攝影師協會 ASC Masterclass

攝影大師班結業。

Biography

1974

Born in Jinguashi, Taipei County, Taiwan.

1997

B.A. in Advertising, National Chengchi University.

1999–2000

Served as Assistant Director, Script Supervisor, and Assistant Editor for the Taiwan independent film Mirror Image (Directed by Hsiao Ya-chuan; Director’s Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival 2001, Best Feature Film at Taipei Film Festival 2001).

2000–2003

Worked at Chiaroscuro Film Production Co., Ltd. (Taipei) as Production Assistant, Executive Producer, Producer, and Assistant Director. Projects executed won awards including the Times Advertising Awards and 4A Creative Awards.

2003–2004

Worked as Cinematographer at Chiaroscuro Films Co., Ltd., shooting TV commercials, music videos, and short films. Sound Film by Lei Guang-xia was nominated for Best Music Video at the 15th Golden Melody Awards (2004).

2005–Present

Freelance Cinematographer / Director of Photography, specializing in commercials, short films, narrative features, and drama series.

2024

Selected for the Golden Horse Overseas Workshop and completed the ASC Masterclass organized by the American Society of Cinematographers in Los Angeles.
